World Class Fly Fishing

Wild trout and gentle horses will keep bringing you back to the west's best-kept secrets, Cayuse and Kelly Creeks. This world-class catch-and-release fishery lies in the heart of Idaho's proposed Great Burn Wilderness and the Clearwater National Forest. Westslope cutthroat, rainbow, and an occasional bull trout are all native and abundant in our pristine streams and tributaries.

Cayuse Creek Package

Only in your dreams have you fished such stretches of water where it is "you" leaving the footprints on gravel bars, rather than encountering them. Now you have the opportunity to do just that. Our Cayuse Creek package is custom tailored for the avid fly fishing enthusiast. The novice fisherman can use our staff's instructional skills to improve his or her current techniques and matching fly patterns. Expert fishermen utilize the expertise of our guides to access his favorite, seldom fished stream segments.

The experience begins when you are flown from Missoula, Montana, into our comfortable airstrip base camp by a chartered air service. Upon arrival you are greeted by your fishing guide, who is anxious to get you on the water. Once you hit the water, it is all catch and release trout fishing for wild westslope cutthroat, with an occasional rainbow or bull trout in Idaho's most pristine waters.

After a long day of fishing, you will make your way to the comforts of wood floored, heated cabins, furnished with cots and foam pads. The trailhead camp is able to accommodate up to eight fishermen, with delicious meals prepared to the finest backcountry standards. Before you hit the beds, you can warm up with a hot shower, and then gather around the evening campfire to share your fishing stories with the rest of the group. If this is not isolated enough for you, we are able to arrange overnight stays with just you and your guide in a bivouac camp that can only be reached by horseback. This will allow you the opportunity to maximize your fishing opportunities in many isolated areas.

Three to Five Day Trips (July through September) $300/Day/Fisherman

Kelly Creek Package

With our Kelly Creek package, upon arrival at Missoula, Montana, you will be driven to our trailhead camp. From there, your guides and packer will take your group to the backcountry Bear Creek Base Camp using experienced trail horses and pack stock. Along the 2 1/2 hour horseback ride, you are able to observe breathtaking scenery and wildlife that makes its home along the famous Kelly Creek. Within walking distance from camp awaits the best walk and wade fly-fishing that Kelly Creek has to offer for beginner and advanced fishermen. Bear Creek camp accommodates up to eight guests, and is staffed with a great cook, knowledgeable guides, and wrangler to provide you with a quality Idaho backcountry experience. Charter air service can be arranged.

Activities include hiking, trail riding, swimming, photography, or just relaxing around camp.
